Privacy Policy

These pages cover Flaw & Function and Coxton Collective ("we"). Flaw & Function makes short engineering-history videos on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X, and sells digital blueprints on Gumroad. Coxton Collective is Nicole Coxton's shop for vintage items, antiques, gifts, media, sports memorabilia, and collectibles.

• Email list (optional): your email, the date and time you agreed, where you signed up (site form, survey link, Gumroad), the consent wording you saw, and your answers to the age and region questions.
• Polls: our audience poll is anonymous. We don't ask for your name or email in it. Signing up for email uses a separate form.
• Purchases: Gumroad processes payments and shares your email and order details with us so we can deliver your product. We never see card numbers.
• Social platforms: when you interact with our posts, the platform's own privacy policy applies. Through their official APIs we get only aggregate stats (views, watch time).

To send the emails you asked for (based on your consent), to deliver purchases (contract), and to improve our videos using aggregate stats (legitimate interest). We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

Our content is family-friendly, but our email list is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're in the EU/EEA/UK and under 16, you need a parent or guardian's consent to sign up. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we honor it right away (within 10 business days at the latest). You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing us. If you're in the EU/UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. California residents have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

The list is stored on our own computer in a restricted file, and in our email provider (to be determined) only when we use one. We keep consent records while you're subscribed, plus a minimal "do not email" record after you unsubscribe so we never email you again.
